Participating in the Peru Mission Trip in the spring of 2011 was the most incredible and moving experience.  My heart was moved beyond words to love my neighbor both in Peru and back home in Oklahoma.  The image of poverty that was seen was so real, but even more immeasurable was the image of pure faith, love, hope, and community.  I will be forever changed by the experience I had.  Taking teenagers on this mission was also a blessing and filled me with hope.  Being able to witness their hearts growing and their understanding of the world, of poverty, and of faith was quite moving.  They each gained so much, and I know we already want to return to our family at Santisimo in Piura!!!
