Having been my second time to Piura I can honestly say with complete sincerity that the people at this parish are like my second family coming for the first time as a high school junior, I had no idea what to expect and while it’s  fine  that I’ve been involved in several other missionary trips, none of then have been as an  impacting and life- changing  as the one Santisimo Sacramento carries forth. The people here are incredibly hospitable and welcoming. I didn’t expect them to change my life as much as I could hope to change theirs through different tasks. It’s because at the people in Piura that I am becoming a catholic. I am proud to say that I will be united with them in the Eucharist this coming Easter.

 Whether It  be hearing the stories  of those at peace in the hospice or simply watching the awestruck look at children as you take them to a theatre for the very first time in their lives, you will be touched by the amount of joy the Peruvian people have for God and their neighbors.

Santisimo Sacramento is truly a special place and I can’t wait for the day when  I can make another pilgrimage down for this incredible  experience.
