The most remarkable thing that I have experienced while working at Santísimo Sacramento is that every day you are challenged to go beyond what you thought yourself capable of doing. One day you might be in the hospice caring for the sick and the next lugging hundred pound bags of cement for a construction required for these tasks project the physical and mental skills required for these tasks are obviously quite different, but they each force you to do some serious introspection, to dig a little bit deeper than you otherwise would have the real wonder of my stay here is that through trying to help others, I have broadened myself in unexpected ways any time. I thought I had seen it all; something often quite small made me reconsider and see a different side of things. Beyond that the staff, and people of Piura in general, are incredible i came by myself for a long stay and my biggest worry was feeling alone while i can't say i never missed my real home, I can say that I always felt like this was a second home from the moment I arrived I was welcomed, and the hardest thing, I will have to do during my whole trip is to say goodbye.
