2011 was my tenth visit to Santísimo Sacramento. All visits have been great and I always return to get more from my Peruvian brothers and sisters. I am able to perform my diaconal ministries in Piura much differently than at home.
On one visit to Santísimo I preached the gospel about the right hand not knowing what the left hand does. I saw that among all the missionaries this year. While their left hands normally well-managed their money, while in Piura their right hands freely helped those in need. The gospel was well lived!
It is difficult being one who represents all St. Monica's sponsors. All Peruvian families hug and kiss me and ask me to send their greetings. They ask their sponsors to write and send a photo. I received so much love each day that some days I'd go into overload and would to go to my room for a timeout in order to process what was happening.
I’m trying to get my U.S. family to let me return for another visit for a month.
